Marine Search and Rescue Service took part in Ukrainian Forum 2018

2018.

 The representatives of State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine took part in Ukrainian Ports Forum-2018, which took place from Mat 30th to June 1st in Odesa. The representatives of government entities, business, investors, international financial entities and other market participants, who influence the ports development and the amount of investments to the port infrastructure.

IMO audit is coming for Ukraine

2018.

 During the period of June 9-18, 2018, Ukraine will pass the audit of the International Maritime Organization.
During the audit international auditors will visit Kyiv, Odesa and Yuzhne and will check the fulfilment of obligations on flag state, port state and coastal state by Ukraine.
 A number of organizations and enterprises such as Ukrtransbezpeka, the State Hydrographic Service of Ukraine, SE "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority", SE "Classification Society Register of Shipping of Ukraine", SE "Marine Search and Rescue Service", the Inspectorate for Training and Certification of Seafarers and SE "CSP "Yuzhnyi" headed by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine will accompany auditors and report on their activity.
On the 14th of June the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" will present to the auditors' team information on maritime search and rescue, coordination of search and rescue operations, GMDSS communications and long-range identification and tracking of ships.

School leavers learnt about the profession of maritime rescuers

2018.

 On May 31st City employment center held a career guidance meeting "City of craftsmen". The representatives of State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine took part in the event and supported young people in their career choice.

Maritime Safety Committee closed its 99th session

2018.

 Today, on the 25th of May the Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (MSC IMO) closed its 99th session.
During the mentioned session that was held in London during the period of May 16 – 25, 2018 it was considered a range of issues, namely on safety at the sea, maritime security, regulatory norms of using of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships and many others.
The session was closed after consideration of the work programme draft for next years and consideration and adoption of the report of the Committee.
Besides, during the session it was considered and adopted the report of the 5th session of the Sub-Committee on Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue.
 The Ukrainian delegation, namely representatives of the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" took an active part in the consideration of the abovementioned questions.

IMO Instruments Implementation Code as the basic code for passing of the IMO audit

2018.

 IMO Instruments Implementation Code (III Code) is an international document which aimed to promote shipping safety and to protect marine environment, as well as to assist states in the implementation of the documents of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). In 2013 by the Resolution A.1070 (28) it was adopted a new addition of the Code, in accordance with this edition a voluntary norm became mandatory.
