TO ATTENTION OF FISHERMEN AND SMALL VESSELS NAVIGATORS!

 Maritime Search and Rescue Service reminds about the necessity of following the safety rules at sea. The small vessels are released to service on the water bodies of Ukraine in accordance with safety rules for the following region: wind strength, wave height, the height of the board side and the distance to the shore.
Small vessels navigation, which exceeds the 2 nautical-mile-distance from the coast line without appropriate radio electronic devices, is prohibited. You should always have fully charged operating cell phone with the contact numbers of emergency services.
During the sailing on the small vessels the passengers and crew members should wear rescue vests, which should be in appropriate operational condition and have any of the orange color shade.
Before sailing, let any person or a relative know about your destination and the approximate returning time. Don't forget to take some all -weather clothing.

Training of the specialized fleet of SE “MSRS” (Photo report 01.11.2018-28.02.2019)

 The specialized fleet of State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service" regularly conducts scheduled trainings in order to be in constant readiness for necessary reaction and conduction of search and rescue in the search and rescue region of Ukraine.
 From November to February search and rescue speed boats and rescue vessel "Sapfir" of SE "MSRS" conducted a raw of sailings to work through cooperative actions during the conduction of search and rescue operations.
 Rescue vessel "Sapfir" acted as on scene coordinator appointed by the State Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC).
 During the exercises a subordinate speed boat from the rescue vessel "Sapfir", "PRK-501" was also present around the main participants, helping to work through the tasks of prompt search, aboarding and delivering of the nominal victims to the main vessel.
 The vessel crews conducted the training of search for the victims, safe transfer of a victim from one vessel to another as well transporting a victim to the place of safety.

The Head of the Maritime Administration Dmytro Petrenko held meeting with the administrative staff of SE “MSRS”

 The meeting of administrative staff of Sate Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service" with the Head of Sate Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport of Ukraine Dmytro Petrenko, took place in Odessa on February 14th .
First Deputy Head of the service, Dmytro Barynov, as well as Harbor Masters and heads of interregional directorates of Maritime Administration also took part in the meeting.

Manoeuvring assistant of "Sapfir"

 On January 22nd the crew of the rescue vessel "Sapfir" of State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service" conducted testing of the speed boat type «RIB – 650».
 According to the explanatory legend, the crew provided assistance to the vessel in danger which sent a distress signal. Maritime rescuers conducted the search of the nominal victims on all-weather SAR speed boat "PRK-501" long way from the tug "Sapfir". Due to the high speed capacity of the boat, they have reached the place of conduction of the rescue operation very quickly and were able to fulfil all the necessary rescue procedures.

The representatives of SE “MSRS” take part in the 6th Session of the Sub-committee on Navigation, Communications and Search and Rescue

.

 On January 16th 2019 in the headquarters of International Maritime Organization (ІМО) in London started its work the 6th Session of the sub-committee on Navigation, communications and search and rescue. The representatives of State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" took part in the meetings as part of Ukrainian delegation.
