SAR cooperation plans for 2019 were elaborated

.

 The State Maritime Rescue Coordination Center of the State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service", according to the SAR cooperation plans, from May to October 2019, will accompany the passenger ships "Dnieper Princess" and "Viking Sineus". To that extent, the joint meetings were held on the board of the vessels regarding navigational usage of the plans in 2019.
 In May 2019 the navigation of the abovementioned vessels was started on the constant rout line Kyiv-Cherson- Odesa-Feteshti (Romania)-Odesa-Cherson-Kyiv.
 There were more than 200 foreign passengers on each ship, among which were representatives from Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and even Israel.
In accordance with the plan, joint exercises will be worked through, the aim of which is to increase readiness in case of emergency situations, including the usage of SAR units in the SAR region of Ukraine.

 SAR cooperation plans were elaborated in order to fulfil the demands of International Convention SOLAS-74/78 (regulation V/7.3) and IMO Circular Letter MSC.1/Circ.1079/Rev.1 by 16 June 2017 "Guidelines for Preparing Plans for Cooperation Between Search and Rescue Services and Passenger Ships".
