Rescue vessel “Sapfir” returned from the study mission at the Black Sea

 On the 26th of January, 2018 the maritime rescue tug "Sapfir" of the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine returned to the port Chornomorsk.

 During the period of January 19 – 26, the rescue vessel "Sapfir" had a training voyage along the borders of the search and rescue region of Ukraine at the Black Sea.
During the mission a set of measures was taken in order to practice key elements of search and rescue in the utmost points of the area of responsibility. It was trained schemes and methods of search, interaction and testing of communication with the State Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre and Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centres of Romania, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Turkey.
 A full analysis of the training will be carried out by the specialists of the SE "MSRS" in the near future, but now it is quite possible to notice that Ukraine as the maritime state certainly demonstrates to the neighboring states and the world community the growth of efforts to ensure the safety of navigation in the area of responsibility of our state.
