Maritime rescuers of SE “MSRS” prepared speed duty boats specialists

.

 Starting with October 23 the crew members of rescue speed boats of SE “Marine Search and Rescue Service” of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine successfully passed the training in Odessa in Odessa simulator complex for preparation of speed duty boats specialists.

 The program of the course was elaborated according to the recommendations of the Typical (Model) course of the International Maritime Organization (IMO)     No 1.24, typical plan, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine on 07.10.2014 ,No 491.

  Simulator equipment, where the training of the rescuers was conducted, helped to simulate in real time mode the situation at sea. That gave a possibility to work over practical skills to control speed duty boats at different time of the day, different weather conditions and the region of search and rescue operations conduction.

The rescuers successfully acquired the special training, demonstrated the knowledge and practical skills necessary for operation of the speed duty boat according to the Part VI/2 STCW Code 95 with the amendments.

 After finishing the training all the rescuers passed the examination and received the certificates about participation in the course “Speed duty boat specialist”.
