During the period of August 7-18 new crew members of speedboats of the SE "Marine Search and Rescue Service" pass training on the basis of the educational training center "Admiral".
The programme of the forty-hour training was developed according to requirements of the International Convention on Maritime Search and Rescue 1979 (SAR-79), the International Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue Manual (IAMSAR) and other international instruments.
Crews work out ways for rescue of people at sea with further evacuation to safe places, rescue of injured person at sea in unconscious state, as well as in conscious, and also, rules for first aid measures.
Rescuers emphasized that such trainings help to improve their professional skills for search and rescue operations in case of an accident at sea.
After the training and passing of exams all the rescuers will be awarded with a certificate of completing the training course "Seaman of the SAR Unit".
