The rescuers of State Enterprise “Marine Search and Rescue Service” tested new inflatable life vests. The value of the new saving appliances is determined by high level of durability and prolonged operation period. They are equipped by double chamber with the floatation of 290N, and were designed and tested in collaboration with RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution), that proves their applicability on SAR speed boats in the open sea and emergency conditions. The life vest has ISO 12402 certificate.
The first chamber is equipped with automatic starting gear, the second with manual. The first one is inflated when entering the water to ensure swimming mobility while performing rescue operations. The second one, is inflated manually if there is a necessity to use full flotation ability.
The vests are also equipped with double fastening system to adjust the helicopter hoists and loops to fix the stretcher. The hood of the vests provides secure protection from the rain and splashes.
