The representatives of SE “Maritime Search and Rescue Service” completed a Basic training course on Maritime search and rescue in Estonia

.

 The representatives of State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service" completed a basic course on Maritime search and rescue from 12th to 19th of August.
 In the Headquarters of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Ukrainian maritime rescuers fully completed a Basic maritime SAR course under the supervision of experienced Estonian instructors.

A meeting devoted cooperation of different entities in terms of search and rescue in the resort area was held in the village Zatoka

.

On the 10th of July a joint meeting with the representatives of local council of the village Zatoka, State Emergency Service of the Odesa Region, the police and Zatoka diving subdivision was held, initiated by State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service".
The informational reason of the meeting became the necessity of paying attention to the cooperation of the subjects of the search and rescue in resort areas in the village Zatoka.

The 101st session of Maritime Safety Committee finished its work in London

.

 From 5th to 14th June 2019 a 101st session of the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) took place in the headquarters of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The official delegation of Ukraine, including the representatives of State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service", took part in its work.
During the work of the session a large number of questions was discussed, including consideration of the reports of all the IMO system bodies, providing changes to the current instruments of the organization, improvement of the ways of implementation of the obligatory international IMO acts, resolutions approval, including the ones in the area of the maritime search and rescue.

Dmytro Petrenko headed a joint meeting

 On the 31st of March 2019, in the head office of the State Enterprise "Maritime Search and Rescue Service", the Head of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport of Ukraine Dmytro Petrenko held a joint meeting, discussing current affairs of the enterprises and entities which are in the sphere of regulation of the State Service of Maritime and Inland Water Transport of Ukraine.

The dedicated committee of Verhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the draft of the Law of Ukraine on regulation of maritime search and rescue activities

.

 On May 29 2019 a draft of the law "On providing amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on regulation of maritime search and rescue activities" was read and approved during the sitting of the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee, together with the input of the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.
The adoption of this law will ensure scaling of the national legislation to the UNO Convention on Maritime Law, conventions of the International Maritime Organization, will solve a number of legislative issues connected with creation, functioning and development of the National maritime SAR System in the search and rescue region of Ukraine.
Such important positions as legislative support of the efficient functioning of Maritime Search and Rescue Service, regulation of actions of vessel masters during distress, SAR readiness to perform SAR activities at sea, as well as fulfillment of liabilities in accordance with national obligations in the sphere of merchant shipping, in particular, the flag state and coastal state liabilities on protection of human's life at sea, are foreseen to be discussed.
