The overall of functioning of State Enterprise “Marine Search and Rescue Service” from January to September 2018

.

 During the covered period from January to September 2018 State Maritime Rescue Coordination Center of SE "MSRS" Odesa together with Rescue Coordination Sub-center Berdiansk have processed about 137 alerts in the area of responsibility of Ukraine.
Including:
- 5 search and rescue operations were performed;
- 32 joint search and rescue exercises were performed together with other enterprises and entities;
- 5 medical advisements by telephone were organized;
- 3 medical evacuations according to medical condition were performed.
 Overall 18 people were rescued. There are no deceased.

Assistance to a sick man

.

 On the 24th of August, 2018 at 20:38 a duty officer of the State Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre of the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine received information that near the beacon on the Dzharylhach Island a man needs urgent medical assistance. According to the witness, a suffered has an epileptic seizure and there is a need of his hospitalization.

Evacuation of the suffered from the m/v “GILLINHHAM”

.

On the 24th of August, 2018 at 10:19 a duty officer of the State Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre of the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine received information from the m/v "GILLNGHAM" vessel agent (flag of the Marshall Islands") that a crew member (ordinary seaman) on board of the vessel needs urgent medical assistance and there is a necessity of his hospitalization. A provisional exclusion – torn ligament of a left leg.

Maritime rescuers took part in the project “City of professions”

.

 On the 18th of August in Shevchenko park took place the "City of professions" fair. It is an international project, that has been taking place annualy in Ukraine for five years already. At the entrance, every child received a passport, a map of the professions presented and had an opportunity to get a job.
The representatives of the State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraibe took part in the event and offered the children to master the profession of a rescuer.

Maritime rescuers conducted a workshop “Safe Black sea waves” in Ukrainian children center “Moloda Gvardia”

.

 On 17th of August in Ukrainian children center "Moloda Gvardia" within the framework of thematic days "The secrets of the Black sea waves" the employment agency of Odesa kept a number of events for children to choose a profession, among which was a workshop "Safe Black sea waves".
The representatives of State Enterprise "Marine Search and Rescue Service" of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine also took part in the event and told about their extremely interesting profession to the youngsters.
